I’ve had a few phone calls of late, from parents who are at a bit of a loss when it comes to incontinence in larger children, there seems to be a magical size between a child size and small adult size that manufactures of incontinence products have missed.
I was first alerted to this problem when a lady from Newcastle had phoned me regarding her autistic son, she mentioned that he was fast approaching adulthood but was still too small for a lot of the smaller incontinence pads around on the market today.One of the products I suggested was a Libero XL diaper; also known as an all-in-one or a slip, now I’ve only just stumbled across the libero range very recently and they seem to be quiet popular.
Libero’s range is essentially a 7 step programme that is designed to grow with your child from newborn to childhood, in fact when you go to http://www.libero.com/ they have a lot of relevant baby information such as a pregnancy guide, helpful advice and a diaper guide.
The sizes themselves start from 2kg and go right up to 30kg and are available as a pull up with elasticated waist band called “UP & GO “or as an all-In-one with tape fixings under the name of “COMFORT FIT” Liberos site describes the two products: "There are two types of Libero diapers: regular diapers that you close with a Velcro fastening at the sides and Up&Go pant diapers which look like little pairs of underpants. Pant diapers are easy to put on and take off and just as leak proof as a regular Libero diaper."
