Self propelled chairs are a little bigger and are designed so that the user is able to maneuver themselves easier using the hand grips on the wheels.

Woburn Electric Profiling Bed Maintenance

We are able to repair and maintain most manufactures of profiling and trend beds however as we are a main distributor for Harvest Healthcare we are able to gain access to a whole range of parts and spares next day, this means that you are never without the bed for too long during a breakdown.

The design of a Woburn bed has allowed the bed to be easily maintained and any working parts that can fail are attached in such a way that these are easily replaced.

The bed itself has 4 linear actuators that drive the bed:

• The head actuator
• The foot actuator 
• Back rest actuator
• Leg rest actuator 

These actuator or pistons are driven by a central control box and handset. all of these parts can be replaced easily and can often fail if the bed has been used excessively or damage occurs, for example. We quite often find that sometimes a failure is caused by a patient hoist that has caught the wires underneath.
